I've had this greenhouse for more than 13 years. It is made from fiberglass and is 7x7x8'. I have it sitting under an oak tree for shade in the summer and sun in the winter. I have added a shade clothe on the top and pieces of the clothe on both windows for our hot summer temps. I also have a small fan and a mister system to aide in cooling it. It runs about 20 degrees cooler, so when 100 outside it is around 80 inside and also higher in humidity than our arid air.
In the first photo hopefully you can see the vents that are automatically raised in the hot temps, closing with cooler temps. and the shade clothe on top. Clothe is almost same color:

both shots show the oak tree as well:

the fan is in back near the window on an old dresser and the misters are hanging from the top:

here I have a bed of spinach, lettuce, beets and green onions, way out of their normal season:

you can see that I use recycled items for shelves:

I hope to be getting/building a greenhouse. Yours is about the size I would need. A friend has one about your size and when she told me what all she has in, I was amazed. You really have a good set-up, fawnridge! Wink

I love your greenhouse.....really like the old dresser you have inside it.

I think I am going to have to plant a vine of some sort to grow on my bloom house, that is a good idea.

When you say automatically do you mean they detect the heat and open/close accordingly?

Great greenhouse! It's all arranged so pretty. I guess we'd all love to have one of those. Good job.

Thanks everyone for your responses. Sorry it took so long to get back here. No excuse except that the garden keeps calling me. can here them now.....water me, Symore!, feed me, Symore!
Frank- the automatic vent system that came with the greenhouse has tube risers that are filled with something that makes it lift open when hot, close when cold.
Things are going ok in it. Still working on what I can push past its normal season. Spinach is trying to bolt, but I'm staying ahead of it so far. Lettuce is still ok and we have had 95-105 degrees weather this summer!

you have a nice green house there. I keep small plants and starter plants in mine. Trying to figure a good way (or system) to use a greenhouse during the winter months here in Michigan. You've done a great job with yours.

Wow! That is my dream some day. I just don't have the space for it right now. I've got to work on it.....

Bravo to you! Everything is in great order and I'm so happy for you.
