We had a disease or some bugs I am unsure come and wipe out alot of dogwoods especially down in south louisiana where some of my family lives ...I was just curious if this happened to anyone else?

Yes, my father-in-law Hank lost about 6 or 7 hugh dogwoods this year. He doesn't know what happened to them. We lost a couple small ones last year. Since you and I live in Louisiana do you think maybe it was because of Katrina and all the strong winds we had off of it. Maybe it loosened the root system. Not sure though.

Can't remember what it was, but there was something going around attacking dogwoods.

We've got a lot of wild dogwood here in Pennsylvania and it was and still is a concern. Just can't remember right now what it was........
