The other morning when I got up I had quite a few birds playing and looking for bugs on my patio. I took these through the window so I didn't disturb them at all...here area a few of the ones I took.







I always tip my rocker over when we are suppose to have windy conditions...once it fell over and crushed some flowers..

Sorry...I forgot to tell you that the red one is the male house finch and the other ones are females or young house finches. The 3rd and 4th picture are sparrows.

I love the scarlet on the adult finches. Hardly anyone takes photogrphs of sparrows as they consider them dull but I think they are wonderful, and entertaining, little birds.

I love the sparrows...there are so many different types around here. i think my favorite is the white crowned sparrow..But they are all so much fun to watch....Sherry

How do you get such good photos of the quick little critters? Once, when I lived on Emerald Isle off the coast, I had at least eight different types of birds at my feeder at once. I wish I had a pic of that.
