Ya know i'm sitting here eating leftover collard greens and bacon with cornbread to soak up the juices and got to thinking that back in my younger days i wouldn't have fed this stuff to a dog! Now i just can't seem to get enough of them. I hope i'm not the only oddball here that when younger there were some veggies i wouldn't touch and now i can't get enough of them. Tell us if that has happened to you that way i won't feel odd? HEHE!

Your not the only one PepperDude. I would never have dreamt of eating half of the veggies I do today. If you'd shown me broccoli, green beans or even carrots I would have fed them to the dog without a moments hesitiation!! Now well - most of my plate IS veggies and I love 'em.

I ate and liked most of the vegies my Mom fixed, but then she was not one to branch out and try new things. There are quite a few vegies that I got the chance to try as I got older and do eat now. There are some that I had to eat when younger that I prefer to leave off my plate now.
The only food that I refused to eat back then that I love now is fried liver and onions.

I hated a lot of the veg my mom fed me growing up..unless it was raw. I try things now as an adult and like them. i think it has a lot to do with the fact that I can cook and mom made everything mushy and yucky. Plus our tastes grow as we grow too.

I guess I was the odd kid because I liked veggies then and now, even spinach. I'd be a good vegetarian except that I like a good steak too much.

I hated spinach when I was young and love it now...especially spinach salad. My mother was in a rut when it came to cooking. That's probably why I don't like to cook now. Seemed like we had the same old same old!! English peas, corn, green beans, pinto beans, etc.
And I like Toni, love liver and onions!!
