Hello everyone! My name is Danielle and this is my first year as a gardener, if you could even call me that. My husband built me a raised vegetable garden so that our beagle could not dig in it. The garden is doing well, except that the tomato plants and the one cucumber plant seem to be encroaching on the entire thing. Oh well, now we know what mistakes not to make for next year. I'm looking forward to reading what everyone has to say, as I am quite the amateur.

Hi Danielle, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas.
We would love to see pictures of your raised bed and your beagle. We always had beagles when I was growing up, they are great pets.

Cucumbers do require a lot of room, especially if they are not growing on a trellis of some sort.
