My stove and over died last summer and i used our gass grill every day to bake and grill. ...If we had good weather all year i would be grilling all the time..i will grill in the winter as long as the temp isn't below 20 degrees. The propane gels up a bit and won't burn well.

Veggies are my favorite and a nice filet. I like to make gorgonzola butter for the steak. (Roast or grill a head of garlic, squeeze the cloves into a food processor, add a 1/2 stick of butter and gorgonzola to taste, process until smooth.) I am going to try EJ's grilled apples. I have had grilled peaches but hadn't thought to try apples. When it's too dusty outside, I use my 5-in 1 smoker. They are a bit pricey but well worth the money. It's made of cast iron and the top can be put across your stove burners to grill. I have used it for smoking and grilling but haven't used it to roast yet. It makes the best BBQed ribs. Smoke those babies for an hour in the oven with your choice of rub and wood chips, then grill them on the top of the stove or outside on the grill with your favorite bbq sauce. Yummy.

Grilled Portabella Burgers
Try these once it wont be the last if you like Portabella Mushrooms

Ingredients:

2 cups olive oil
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tsp crushed basil
4 tbsp ready-to-use crushed garlic or fresh garlic puree
Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
4 Portabella Mushroom Caps
Preparation:

Measure first five ingredients into a large bowl and mix well. Quickly rinse Portabella Mushroom Caps in cold water and pat dry. Place Portabellas in the marinade, gill side up. Spoon marinade into caps and let stand for 5-15 minutes. Shaking off excess marinade, grill Portabella Caps to taste - approximately 10 minutes per side. Place grilled Portabellas on burger buns and serve with favorite condiments.

Makes 4 Portaburgers

We go through a lot of charcoal, we just cook the whole dinner on the grill. Whole Chickens are our favorite.

Bunkie, I certainly agree ... the beer butt chicken is delicious. So tender. You can use beer or coke, either way it is yummy.

I know this is going to sound crazy but with just my hubby and I, it is just too much to fire up our grill because it is so big sooooooo,

I have one of those clay chiminia's in my yard. I put a small round wire grill on top. When we want something grilled we throw some oak wood in it and it is big enough to cook a few small burgers and then about 6 hotdogs. Oak wood give meat such a great flavor. As a matter of fact I grilled burgers and dogs just tonight. It tasted great!

We have a Holland Grill, that does not have flare-ups. You can close the bottom and steam foods. We were at a Home Show and they were demonstrating one of the Holland Grills and were steaming a Ham in apple juice...we had some and loved it and went and bought one. I love being able to just rub a whole chicken with some olive oil and spices and forget it until it is time to turn it ....I guess my favorite on the grill would be the steamed ham, but I do so many different foods on it, I love them all....Sherry

Babyback ribs on a charcoal grill, it doesn't get any better than that.
