My trumpet lilys were so tall this year and they smell so good..I had the window open the other day and the smell from them is so great. The stems were about the size of a quarter or more . I just planted them last spring but they sure must love the spots they are in. I have to tie them up when we have strong winds , I hate to take the chance of them breaking off.

Just found this one in the album so I added it...

They are very lovely, Sherry. Please DO stake them . It would be a shame to loose them. They look sooo good now.

Those are beautiful colors. And to think that in the midst of summer (here in TX it is 100+) you can open your window and enjoy the fragrance. How nice! Stew Face 1

such lovely colors. The smell has got to be nice coming thru your window. I think Sjoerd has a good idea to stake them so you don't loose them. Thanks for sharing.

This is just plain trumpet lilys...I can only imagine how tall it would of been if I planted one of the lily tree types..Maybe Sherry and the beanstalk then. I have white ones but I haven't found my pictures of them or just missed taking the pictures but they are large too...Sherry
