HELLO, i was hoping someone could please tell me about nasursion seeds. Are they the green balls left after the petals have dropped off ? and if so , what do you do with them? Im sure the seeds i bought were alot smaller, not like these . I hope they are the seeds as i was delighted with them, an i want to plant 100's of them next time. I dont well didnt have a garden but now every one jokes about my 'garden centre' i have hundreds of pots an growbags and i have horrible wire ,meshing, grid , burglar deterent, on my back windows. So i have planted sweet peas and nastursions ( im not spelling it properly, am i ?) that have weaved all through the wire, it's great ! im just a keen ameater, lovin it !

I believe you are writing about nasturtiums. Yes you are correct they are the "green balls" left after the petals fall off. The are still big because they are alive and growing. When they are ripened they will lose water and shrink in size. Just like most seeds you plant them after the threat of last frost is over. If you live in a more temperate region then you can grow them year round. They are beautiful vines with fragrant flowers. The plant and leaves are actually edible and lend a nice peppery taste in salads.

Yes you can keep them in a cup or any other dry container and let them ripen. I keep mine indoors over the summer, then after the temps warm up in the spring I'll sow them. You are right they are beautiful plants. I Like to plant them in raised pots as they look wonderful flowing down. I also planted one in a tree hole about 8 ft up and it looks great! Good luck with the seeds.
