Take an onion or potato and drop it into a womans nylon stodcking, (new), then tie aknot in the stocking above the onion. Repaet until the stocking is full. Hang in a cool dry space. I have a friend who buys Vidalia onions by the 50 lb bag and he stores them this way. When you need one take a pair of scissors and cut the stocking just below the lowest knot. Onions and potatos rot faster because they are in a container and are next to each other.
Its a great way to hang them Capt.My mom laid potatoes on wooden platform and never let them touch each other and hung onions by the tops never touching each other and hung from the ceiling of the old smoke house.
