All of a sudden the tomatoes are turning red. The grape tomatoes seem to be out doing the Romas, but there are lot's of Romas getting ready.

Very Happy

Gogeous things, those.
Will you eat them all fresh, or preserve some?

This bunch will be eaten, we'll take them to my mom's when i go pull her weeds tomorrow. She didn't plant any this year because the squirrels eat hers.

Romas will have most of them all ripen at once, when that happens we'll make spaghetti sauce and can it. Mom has to much oregano, it'll make some good sauce. Maybe some sage and sweet basil too.

Very nice! I'm seeing sauce and tomatoes stuffed with pesto. Wait, oven dried tomatoes. Ohh no wait, tomato sandwiches, or salsa,, maraina sauce. Tomato and goat cheese salad. I gotta move on.

Great harvest!!

How about a Bacon, tomato and lettuce sandwich with mayo and some butter..that is one of our summer favorites. I make a pound of bacon ahead on the grill and freeze it cooked so when we want a quick meal, we have it. Have you had one or heard of them? Then we like to eat a cucumber on the side...

I'm hungry just looking at them. How about open faced bacon with melted cheese and the tomatoes grilled on top? Home made tomato soup, anyone? Beautiful.
