Or, does this show it better...
Well, since June we have been harvesting courgettes by the basket-fulls. I have given them to neighbours, collegues, friends of collegues and neighbours, family and THEIR friends. It´s getting so bad now that when peeps see me riding by on my bike they try and go another direction. I am rapidly becomming a persona non grata in my own city. Even the folks that ride by the lotty in the trains don´t look out the windows in fear that I will try and palm some off on them. 
I have read through our book called--``1001 Recepies For Courgettes`` and so now I don´t know what else to do with them.
Things are getting really bad, and the end is not in sight. This calls for drastic measures, so I have a cunning plan (not involving turnips)--see below.

I just made zucchini bread..it is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg...very nice...you can freeze them as well.... 
You can add nuts, raisins, chocolate chips..the possibilities!

Oh-ho, you've really got your hands full! I like the idea in your cartoon strip, go for it! Or you could set up a cart on the market, put up a "Free"-sign and ask the people to voluntarily donate to some charity since you're not allowed to sell your produce.

Heck! Because I didn't pick for 2 weeks and the few that were coming became huge, courgie production has slowed down for me, thankfully, but I know it will soon pick up again...so long as the sun remembers to shine!
I make bread in bulk...which I freeze, then soup....which I freeze, then I griddle some....and freeze them....and make rataatatatttoille....which I freeze. How many plants do you have for goodness sakes???

I like Deanna's suggestion of donating them to some organization, food bank, women's shelter, etc.
Or just put bags of them out on the curb with a free sign.
I know this sounds extreme and it goes against the gardeners creed (if we have a creed that is) but how about cutting the plants down or pulling them up. I know, I know, I said it was extreme but it may be necessary in this case.

OMG look at them all!!!  We'd better all watch out for the postman as there may just be a delivery of courgettes arriving on our doorsteps. There'll be no use denying it 'cause we'll just know where they've come from.

I'm afraid that I have the same problem Sjoerd. I took 4 more over to the sitters this morning and she kind of rolled her eyes and muttered a "Thanks". My neighbors shut the blinds as they see me coming.
I didn't even think about a soup kitchen...great idea!

Ahh the dreaded attack of the zucchini plant!
Another suggestion might be to harvest the flowers,
batter and fry them. Some folks like those better
then the fruit.

Well we contacted a "food bank" here in the city and are waiting to hear from them. If they will come and pick up the veg that we have, we will see if other allotmenteers will donate their excess. Perhaps the organization would come and make pick-ups 2-3 times a week.
I also have way too many runner beans and eventually I am afrais that I will have to begin giving away some toms as well.

I would put a little stand out front saying free veggies for non parrishable food item to be given for the elderly that need food or nursing homes to be cooked for them.Then give the nursing homes enough to feed the group.

The "Food Bank" people came by this morning and were delighted with the veg.
We will speak with the admin committee of out allotment complex and see if others would participate on a regular basis and then we would take on the responsibility of organizing and executing the weekly pick-ups.
We'll see what the admin committee say.
