How long does it take for a Mango tree to produce fruits?

    How long does it take for a Mango tree to produce fruits, if I planted it as a seed? Its 5 inches tall right now.

    From seed it will be at least 5 years before it will bear fruit. Hopefully you live some place tropical, with basically no winter weather, otherwise in a container is best so it can be moved to a greenhouse when the weather turns.

    Is yours a dwarf variety? They do well in pots, the non-dwarf variety can reach 115-130 feet tall so planting it in a pot has it's own problems.

    hope not

    5 years, that ain't so bad, thought it would take longer. I think its a dwarf atleast it better be cuz i do not want a 130 ft mango tree growing ha
