We had planted the second crop of sweet corn about three weeks after the first. The first wave has been picked and frozen. Now the second wave.
--I don't know where I'll put it all--
I may have to sacrifice myself and eat a bit of it.
A decent trugfull
When shucking the ears, I discovered these three Musketiers. What a shame to disturb them.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
Ripe out to the ends!

Mmmm! Looks fantastic Sjoerd! We had fresh corn for dinner tonight too...but it was from the farm up the road. I was tired of sharing with the raccoons and didn't plant any this year. It was DELICIOUS!

wow such pretty corn. What type is it? We planted merit corn and we cut it off the cob. We got 5 gallons. It is great. I hope you saved the lives of your little hide-a-ways.

I could help you figure out what to do with some of it .You could just simply ship it to central Texas and I would have know problem getting rid of it.Oh yes I have a big bowl of butter waiting on it .

We have been buying ours from a local produce grower. He raises Silver Queen. It's a mix of yellow and white together on one ear. Man it is so sweet, it raised my blood sugar!

Oh yum! Ours has struggled again this summer thanks to the cool weather, but what we have had so far has been delicious. The kids fight over it as it is so sweet and tender. I have grown swift, ruby queen and rainbow.

My best friend and I used to go through the corn field and eat the ears raw! They were tasty! Try this: grill the ears of corn along with your steak/chicken - whatever. It is good when grilled, or roasted!

Yum! I think the presentation is as good as the food. Now I'm hungry.

I agree with you, WTD. I have had it that way. There are some countries where you can buy it that way right on the street.
I'm really going to miss the fresh corn when it's gone. I am freezing-in lots, but of course it's never quite as good as fresh.
