I don't have the room for or the ability to maintain a pond but I do have water plants.

This is the newest one. I tried to grow tulips in this container in the spring but it just didn't work out with no drainage so I decided to turn it into a water plant container.
I found this little plant at a pet/aquarium store back in May and promptly threw away the box so I have no idea what it is.

But this morning it bloomed, the bloom is only a little over an inch tall and spreads about 1.5 inches across.

Lovely bloom, and a very good idea too. Hat off for you, you've got the best imagination when it comes to planting.

What a lovely and dainty little plant Toni. It certainly looks happy in its unusual planter.

Isn't that a beautiful and pure white bloom. Sometimes the simplest is best.
