Twoo!
Taken today at the Royal Horticultural Society garden Hyde Hall in Essex. It was a family fun day and they had lots of different events to entertain the kids.

I like owls alot, EJ. These are some beautiful specimens. Did your kidss like these? I can still remember the first time I saw one...I was very young and was mesmerized by it. I recall that it was so different to anything that I had seen to that point that I wondered if it was real, or if it was magical in some way. --I was very, very young.
Anyway, great fotos.

The kids loved them. They both got the hold the British Little Owl...not a very imaginative name for an owl in my opinion. Couldn't take their pic whilst they were holding them tho as they were going to charge £3 each.... around 3.7 euros, $5.5 !!EACH!!

Beautiful owls, I have loved owls for many years.
$5.50 so you could take the picture yourself? Outrageous, but I guess they have to raise money any way they can.
You're right Sjoerd they do have a magical feel to them. There was one in our neighborhood several years ago, we came home late one night and saw him/her sitting in the tree next to the house.

Lovely owls. I especially like the last one. It looks so sweet! Owls have the prettiest faces.

Very nice pics. Owls are magical creatures. We only have one kind of owl up here, ofcourse an Arctic Owl. But when i lived further north in Sweden and Finland i remember an Owl that was taller than most children. It was huge.
