I went to visit a gardening friend today, and wanted to give her a piece of a Chrysanthemum that blooms in autumn, has rather big, pink flowers, a dense mass of low-growing leaves and is good at spreading out. I've tried for some time to put a name to the thing, but to no avail.

So, when I pulled out a couple of rather big chunks of this plant, suddenly the name tag popped up! I'm happy to introduce Chrysanthemum weyrichii from Japan and thereabouts:

Sharing is a good thing because I found the name of one of my plants. Laughing

It reminds me a bit of White Robin(the same as Ragged Robin only white) with the shape of its petals. A very pretty flower.

heh heh heh... I do declare Droopy--you may be Norwegian, but you have the luck of the Irish! It's karma, isn't it? Laughing
You must be tickled pink...as pink as those petals.

Thank you all. The size of it is very neat and handy, and it keeps going despite the weather too. It started in June and is still putting forth new buds, so it will bloom well into September. Very Happy

Very pretty Droopy. I love it when I find my "missing" plant tags! Sharing is definitely a good thing Smile
