All summer the hummingbirds have been feeding at the feeder out front. It hangs on a shepards crook. The one male used to set on the top of the crook and keep everybody away, except his mate. In the hot afternoons he would set up in the trees and zoom in and chase them off. We named him Bullyboy. Well this week he hasn't been around at all. I think he may have started to migrate all ready. Now there is a female doing his job. I think it is his mate. We have named her Cupcake from the Janet Evanovich books about Stephany Plum. That was her knickname. The only hummers I see now are females, the males have all left.

I planted some bird seed. A bird came up. Now I don't know what to feed it.
