Here are some pictures of our patio project. My husband was busy all last weekend with it. I wish it would of been cooler like it is now but at least it is done,

The rounded corners he had to cut with a wet saw that we rented. Luckily we only had 2 corners...

These are called paver blocks

Here is what it looked like from on the patio before we put the partial walls up...

My goodness Sherry...that looks exceedingly nice. That gives yoiur place a sort of royal feel to it. Almost "castle-like".
Very nice work. I know that you are proud as punch. Smile

Oh and so have I netty but, somehow, I don't think he'd do as good a job as Sherry's husband has. The wall is so professionally built and I love it. Very Happy

Fantastic wall, it makes a big difference in the look of your house and the garden.

Those two pots on either side of the opening are huge. What did you put in the lower half so as not to have to buy that much soil to fill them or do they have a false bottom?

toni...in the two large pots I could not find any styrofoam when I wanted to fill them so they are filled with potting soil. I already plan on painting them next spring a lighter color and maybe put the crackle on them to make them look old. The dark color seems to draw so much heat that I thought a lighter color might help keep it cooler.

Thank you everyone for all the compliments. I really like it and I only came up with the idea and my husband did all the work. Each of the blocks that are the regular size were around 20 pounds a piece and had to be fitted or cut to size and then taken down and glued together so they would not tip over if grandchildren would walk on it. It is just the right height to sit on in case we need more seating or I can put pots on top. ....Sherry
