You know I like yellow flowers. The other day I took the camera when I went to the lower yard with Chance. No pictures of her this time. She isn't yellow.
These are yellow sun chokes, not sunflowers. I don't plant them, they just come up where ever they feel like coming up. I never cut them off.
This one I caught from below looking up into the gray, cloudy sky.
I like them all. dooley

Ohhh i like them! They look like they grow in a bunch not a single flower to a stem like the traditional sunflower. I need more coffee i think,, i meant like in a bush, not bunch.

They have one stalk that comes out of the ground and then it gets bushy but tall. Each one has many branches and flowers. These are about 5 or 6 foot tall. They grow wild all over this area. Up and down the sides of the roads and ditches have them. dooley

So cheery especially against the grey sky, Dooley. I'd love to have them in the house as well.

They get about six feet tall and bushy so I don't think they would fit on your balcony. There are a lot of them come up but some years when it's dry, not so many. The seeds lay dormant and come up when we have more rain. dooley
