It brings out all the butterflies.

Peacock Butterfly.

Red Admiral.

Tortoiseshell.

There were also some small veined whites but they were too quick for me!!

Beautiful photos Eileen. I have never seen a Tortoiseshell or Peacock butterflies before. They are really pretty, I like the row of dots and larger spots along the edges of the Tortoiseshell's wings, so precise.

What a lovely sight! Very Happy We have the Admiral here, the other two are further south I think. We also have those little white ones, but they are really fast! Laughing I have been chasing after butterflies for days, and today when I was mistreating the plum tree they were all over, one even landed on me!

What sunshine? Lucky you! I never have my camera handy when I see the flutterbyes as it tends to be when I am working, and I have no idea of the differences so it is lovely to see those shots Eileen.

Those are supurb shots, Eileen. Each one of those beauties look so nice on the buddleia--very fitting Wink
That last one resembles the north american 'Painted Lady'. I wonder if they are related.

Eileen, those are so pretty. It amazes me how you, Sherry, Glenda and others always seem to have camera in hand. I see my hummers and butterflies, and 'think' camera. But even if I had it, I wouldn't be quick enough to capture a picture. Thanks for sharing.
