This morning I noticed a squirrel in my back yard digging where I had mowed and a peacock hen was there
in the yard too.I ran for my camera and got back in time to see another squirrel jump out of the trees on the side of the yard with the other peacock chasing it as it pasted the other squirrel and peacock they joined in the race.I didn't get a picture of the chase as I wasn't fast enough the squirrels went up the pine tree and the peahens treed them there.I laughed so hard watching this action

Here are the peacocks under the tree

I do hope you can see the squirrel in the tree.I could only get a picture of one of them.

This is what I put up with daily on my porch.I hope you can see the last picture ok as they are all blurry to me.

I'd have loved to see that show, Glenda! Your peahens are pretty ladies. I didn't know they would chase squirrels. Laughing

Beautiful birds. I used to have peacocks but we had to get rid of them because they were bothering the neighbors. Peacocks can get very aggresive. We got ours because the previous owners had company at their house to show off their brand new truck and when the peacock saw its reflection in the new trucks side door, it attacked the truck and scratched it so bad they had to have a new paint job. So the owner told us to come get the peacocks or he was going to kill them. So they came and lived with us for a while. They are fun to own.

Wonderful fotos, Glenda. What magnificant birds to have hanging-about on your porch.
I could see the squirrel, but not well enough to tell what kind it was.
You did a good job with taking pics of those birds.

Glenda, sounds like a zoo around your house!
Great pictures...and it was good for you to laugh!!

My best friend had peacocks (3) and they were very aggressive and such a nuisance...pooping anywhere they wanted and scratching her car. She ask my son to get rid of them. He got the shotgun and in a few minutes we heard three shots! Bye-bye peacocks! Laughing

Thank you all. They are really bothersome as you are so right about the pooping everywhere.I wash my porch daily.I run them off but they come right back as they like the cat food.
I could not kill one of those beauties at all.I threaten them but thats all.

Looks like your critters provide you with a lot of entertainment. The birds are beautiful...I had a friend that kept her peacocks in a large corn crib enclosure (looked like an enormous bird cage), and that protected them from area foxes.

Oooo, peahens look lovely on your porch. We did have a pair of peas visiting out allotment but they did so much damamge a local bird sanctuary was called and they captured them. It was believed they had escaped or been released from a private collection.

Gee Glenda, it looks like those girls are feeling very at home there on your porch!
Can you approach them or are they nervous?
