First the old wall had to come out. Took them about 15 minutes. Here is what that looked like.

And here it is gone.

Now they are digging the trench for the gravel footer, and will then put that in.

That's what I'd call quick demolition. Laughing

Well it's certainly coming on apace. I thought it would take much longer to knock down the old wall but I suppose as the wood was so rotten it made things easier. It won't be long until they start building the new one now. Very Happy Thanks for showing us the pictures so far and please keep them coming.

Here they are starting the gravel base or footer.

Starting the first course of blocks. The blocks weigh 89 lbs a piece!

Cutting one of the blocks so that the second course offsets.

Starting the second course.

First 2 courses laid.

They have finished uo for today.

They only need to finish that top course and then one more above that. And they will stair step the courses and put caps on it. Then in front they will put in one course for the flower bed, and then put in the 4' x 8' patio with pavers and they will be done. There are only 2 guys working the project!

The small black hole on the left had side is for the drain line that is at the base of the wall.
