This garden is just outside of the Leaning Tower. It made me miss my walled gardens back in Kuwait.Of course, I do not have lawn but it did inspire me to add some new plants. I learned recently that the word paradise comes from the Arabic for "walled garden". I guess I have my own paradise!

Beautiful garden, wonder why the travel shows don't bother to show the garden when showing pictures of the Tower that would draw my attention more than the tower frankly.
Hmmmmmm, paradise-walled garden...I need a wall!

I've never seen Pisa. Your photos make it very clear that I should. I need more walls too.

I have to admit Pisa surprised me. I had read a lot of reviews on travel sites and everyone said there wasn't much to do in Pisa. Well, I think they are wrong! It is a great place to stroll around. I had just got out of my cast so I couldn't climb the tower or the Bapistry Dome but I did a lot of walking. I only spent two days in Pisa before moving on to Tuscany- all the little towns, Florence and Siena. It seems like everyone in Italy gardens with whatever space they have- I will post some pictures of rooftop gardens in Rome (went there in March) and some pictures of Tuscany. Italy is very inspirational gardening wise and I always bring seeds back. I just wish I was better with my camera. I am a real foodie so my trips are always focused on gardens, food and books. All the architecture and museums are a bonus!

I think you did great with the pics! I've never been to Pisa but it sure looks like it would be a nice place to go for long walks. Thank you!

What a great place to sketch! I could just imagine, a sketch of a beautiful garden with, oh yeah, the tower in the background. Mmmm....
