What are some other perennial bulbs that I can plan now or in November to bloom next year? I would like to do some more daffodils and tulips. I would like to have something that blooms later in the year as well. When we put the addition on our house my whole flower bed of lilies, daffodils, and tulips was destroyed.
Thanks in advance

You might check out peonies. I have some that bloom early, mid and late spring! I even had one blooming the end of June this summer Surprised What about hyacinths?

Crocus bulbs are something I love to have in the garden. You can get ones that flower in early spring or ones that flower in the autumn. You could also try these bulbs too:

Snowdrops/snowflakes
Iris
Allium
Anemone
Muscari
Fritillaria
Ixia
Oxalis
and Ranunculus.

They don't all flower in the autumn but you could almost have all year round colour.

Eileen forgot lilies. Some bloom around mid-summer, others in late summer/ autumn. The Colchicum bulbs are a favourite of mine, the latest are blooming now.

What sort of climate is in Ohio, by the way?

Colchicum is very pretty. I did not know you could get those that would bloom in the fall. The only crocus I have seen bloom early spring here some even hardly after snow is off the ground. Which is gorgeous! Thanks for the recommendations.
I like glads but they get so big that we have problems keeping them standing with the winds we have here.

I received a catalog in the mail from VanBourgondien,
www.dutchbulbs.com that has different sized glads in it! I'm going to order the "Tiny Tot" 12-18 inches tall and the "Glamini" 20-25 inches tall. I'm going to try them in containers and see how they do. Check them out!! Very Happy

Oh wow thanks for the great tip! I was miffed that I could not get my glads due to them tipping over. I will definitely get some of those tiny tots going here next spring.
