Hi and welcome to GardenStew from north Texas.
What part of Florida are you in? We have several members scattered around the state. Many years ago I lived in West Palm Beach and I mean many years ago
What kind of gardening are you interested in? Do you have any pictures you would like to share with us?

I reside in Pensacola; northwest Florida, Toni. Would much rather be further down south.
My yard isn't quite equipped to do much gardenening at the moment due to the sorry excuse of a lawn the previous inhabitants kept it in; I've been working on it until a few months ago when I had my daughter... although I have recently aquired quite a collection of potted plants that I've managed to keep alive!
And they are as follows:
two cala lillies
palm tree
pineapple plant
dozens of various colored coleus leaves
an ivy
a few creeping charlie cuttings
a miniature cactus that I've had for several years
sword fern
& a nun's orchid that I think I killed.
There are others that I may need help identifying. I apologize for the lack of scientific names and whatnot, I am completley new to plants in general! I just can't bring myself to throw them away.
Pictures soon! My kitchen has been overrun with plants.
Also, thanks Droopy!
