I just bought a Dell Inspiron Laptop and it came loaded with Windows Vista. Every 5-6 days I lose my "network connection". I cannot connect to the internet. I spent a couple of hours on the line with Dell and all they could do is tell me to restore my factory settings by wiping out my hard drive. I have had to do this 3 times in 2.5 weeks. Is there a quick fix that I am missing?

Hi Dave, do you have an external modem? It's possible that the fault could lie there also. You say have got it working again after it happened. How did you do this? (e.g. restarting your computer, restarting the modem).

Your Vista installation disc comes with a Repair option that you can choose when you insert the disc into your drive. It would be worth running this also to see if it fixes it.
