I have brought in my rosemary plants into my new greenhouse... an early Christmas gift. Does anyone have some tips to keep the Rosemary healthy?

There is one thing I have learned from overwintering my Rosemary...never, never overwater!!

I have rosemary growing in my kitchen, and like Netty said watch the water. I water mine once a month in the winter. A little more in the summer, only because its in a pot.

I agree with the previous posts. I haven't lost any when I brought them inside back in the States. I don't have to do that here. Anyway, I did trim them up, cut back on watering and did not give them any fertilizer until they were back outside.

Rosemary is a pretty hardy herb so I wouldn't worry to much about it, but like the other say don't over water.

Growing rosemary is very easy. It can grow also indoors. They prefer full sun to partial shade. They will do well in almost any soil. They tolerate dry soil conditions and drought. They should not require water during droughts, but add water if they appear to wilt. They usually do not require fertilizer. You can refer to other helpful sites too, if you have other concerns on how to grow them.

I had a rosemary plant in Arizona that I bought in a 4 inch pot. It almost took over the back yard and had to be trimmed regularly to keep it from taking over everything. I never watered it or gave it food. I guess it just liked it there. It was sheltered between the shed and the sidewalk. Needless to say I never brought it inside either. I have one here in Texas growing in a pot and now I'm wondering if I have to bring it inside. I did have one out in the yard and it died, I think due to all the rain we've been having. Too much water! dooley
