Hi John.

It looks as though your plant is doing great so you're obviously doing everything right.Do you realise just how big they can grow to though?

Here's a website with facts about your plant that you might find useful.

http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/57822/

Sorry I can't give you first hand info as I've never grown one of these myself.

i wish i could grow one to it's full size, but i dont have the climate for it. i think ill let this one grow rather large, but the others that i have will become bonsai material.

What sort of climate have you got, Jon? Your little plant looks very healthy. Very Happy Were they difficult to sow? I really like to see the ficus trees when I'm on holiday in southern Europe, but I've never succeeded in growing them as house plants. I think bonsai sounds like a very good idea.

Let's see... 10F is -12C. That's about what we might have during winter, and I wouldn't even try a ficus outside here. Our growing season is rather short and cool too. We've still got another month or two before I dare believe it's spring for certain.

Hi,

I have some ficus religiosa seeds as well, one of which has just sprouted. I wondered if you had any problems with your seedlings that I should watch out for.
It seems like yours has done very well, and grown VERY quickly!

Abe.
