I was sitting here having lunch, and watching the birds at the feeder. There were 4 squirrels playing there also. I gathered up the camera and got some shots of the cute little fellows. Hope you enjoy.

Your squirrels Are cute little actors.I love al your photos but the one with his face in the snow is a cutie and the high stepper plus the woodpecker is a great shot.Your woodpeckers are different from ours here. Thanks for the wonderful photos.

There's nothing better than watching the wildlife in your garden is there? I'm glad you had your camera handy so that we could share your squirrels and woodpecker Tom - they are definately photogenic. Thank you.

Oh I love those! I adore shot number 2 where the little critter has his nose in the snow. And the woodpecker photos are just lovely - such great colour.

Thank you for the replies, I believe that the woodpecker is a Pileated woodpecker. The squirrels are continually trying, unsuccessfully, to get to the bird feeder.

I love your woodpecker pics. I posted this in the forums last year when one was clinging by his toes on my little suet feeder. It was a really cold day and he was eating there for a long time. I went out this year and bought a suet feeder with a "tail prop" that comes down for better support for them. And, of course, I haven't seen him at all this year since I bought the new feeder!!!
