The Cub Scouts have a Pine Box Derby every year, they each receive the same size block of wood. They get to design the car or truck shape, paint it and can add weight within the specified limit. The race was last Saturday and my youngest grandson took lst Place. I think he is a little excited, don't you? That is my oldest daughter, who is the den leader, giving him his trophy.
Congratulations on your grandson's victory, Toni! He looks very pleased with his achievement. I'd have loved to see the car he raced in too.
Thanks you all. He was so excited when he called us Saturday evening. I have asked Lisa to take another picture of him with his car. He told me he painted it orange and red, should be a snazzy looking vehicle. It isn't a ride-in car, it's only about 8" long and they race them on a downhill slope.
Well done and congratulations to your grandson Toni. It's lovely to capture moments like that to cherish and doesn't he look pleased with himself :-D
Congratulations. You say that he looks excites...but I'll bet a pic of you woyuld showe the same kind of face! Proud as punch, I'd guess.
I love to see that excitement on his face....congratulations to him for taking fist place and a trophy is great...
