whats your favourite vegetable and do you have a reason for this? Is it fun to grow, extra tasty, super versatile or just plain good.
MIne has to be asparagus ,though I have never grown it I have only eaten store bought, I can only imagine how good fresh out the ground asparagus tastes.

Mine is sugar snaps peas straight from the garden. There's nothing better than fresh peas and with sugar snaps you can even eat the pod.

I love fresh peas too. Asparagus tastes best snapped off and eaten raw too. And nothing beats a home grown tomato.

oh yes I'd forgotten about tomatoes they're the best eaten off the plant maybe if I bring them indoors they will get a bit of salt

Hmmm....I really love the home grown peas too. And tomatoes and eggplant also. But those peas are just so good!

Mine is asparagus. I planted some in my garden 4 years ago now, and was finally able to enjoy my first harvest last year. Before that, I had to scour the ditches for the wild stuff.

Heck, this is hard to narrow down. Mine is seasonal - during the winter months, it has to be Brussel Sprouts. In late spring/early summer it must be small, sweet new potatoes then as mid summer draws on, it's a toss up between tomatoes and runner beans.

I was going to say tomatoes, but if I'm not mistaken, aren't tomatoes technically fruit? Thought I heard that somewhere.
I love bush beans right off the bush, then steamed to perfection. They are so sweet.

You are right. A tomato is a fruit. Here's how I remember it. I saw this on another forum, if I could remember who I got it from I'd give them credit.
Intelligence is knowing a tomato is a fruit.
Wisdom if knowing enough not to put it in fruit salad.

Brocoli and kale in winter, lettuce in spring, sugar snap and snow peas before the dogs find them and pole beans in late summer. Tomatoes fresh from the vine anytime! Oops, Maybe I don't have any one favorite.
