So I know herbs need sunlight but I was wondering does it have to be direct sunlight or can it be indirect? I only ask because I rearranged my house and I have a shelf for some herbs in the kitchen but it only gets indirect sunlight all day long. Also my parsley and cilantro seemed to wilt in the sun but when I moved them to shade they stood up right. I just want to make sure before I move them and kill them.

Most plants will grow much better in full sunlight rather than shade. However, the parsley family will tolerate more shade than other root plants. Now that you have your plants in wonderful containers, you can move them around and find the best place.
