I made a really big decision yesterday and that is, from this day forward, i am no longer to be known as "mum".Over the bank holiday, we counted how many times my 13 year old shouted "mum" and it totalled 113!!! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I know what you mean Catkin.
My youngest is almost 19 and the oldest is almost 39 and still to this day when I am in a store and hear someone call "Mom" I stop and look around.

Dad gets me the same way. As a primary school teacher I often used to answer to Dad then. Mind when one little girl stood next to me and said "Mum,er Dad, er Miss! Oh bugger it!" and walked away I did not turn round to see who it was in case she saw me laughing!

Ha! Yes - I was just thinking something similar about the cat on the record.
I work at a school, so everytime there's anything going on if a child hollers "Mom!" all these heads turn as all the moms respond.
