Reading plant forums I saw that some people have termite and ant problem in their yard or pots.
I use a mix of 50% borax ( a chemical in crystalline form) with 50% sugar, filling small saucers or on aluminum foil under the trees or on my pots, I take care don't get wet (from rains or watering).
The above formula I use also against cockroaches in my house and at my storehouse.
It works.

Anyone using this that has pets, make sure the boric acid is not harmful to pets. With the sugar mixed in they might find it appealing. I know my sweet tooth dogs would.

Hi cajunbelle,
yes, pets must be protected, as any other chemical bait against ants and termites.
Also is harmful to bees.
