A few months back, I went and dug up, what I thought at the time, were reg run of the mill elephant ears. Well, I guess they liked the storm that past through cuz today I noticed how quick they are growing. On closer inspection I saw that they each have a purple star in the center of them, with purple trim around the whole leave and purple stems. They are BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Heres some of my other ears..But the above are by far prettier!

Unknown type of ear..just HUGE!This ear here is about the size of a dinner plate and its still a baby!

Black Magic

I forgot the name if this...will get back to you on it.

And mini ears

Ill tell you a secret only my hubby knows...I love elephant ears more than roses!

OK I think the second one is Colocasia Esculenta
And #4 is Colocasia Antiquorum Illustris.
I wish I could find what #1 was!

Now you know....These are bulbs and I have plenty of the #1 I have hundreds of those..

And #4 I have two extra bulbs.

And the minis, all I have to do is dig them up and pull the seeds off the bulbs. So I have plenty of those too.

All bulbs are growing but They will regrow if I dug them up and shipped them.

It will save you money! LOL

Sorry I have no extra Black Magic tho..Tho I will come fall winter.

I went to three garden centres this afternoon and not one of them had any elephants ears. Crying or Very sad Actually when I said to one guy "Do you have elephants ears?" he looked quite offended and said "No, they're just a bit bigger than everyone elses." I was SOOOOOOOO embarrassed when I realised he thought I was talking about HIS ears!!!

Maybe it's the wrong season here for them?

I think he was pulling my leg Frank just to see how embarrassed I'd get. Needless to say Ian was creasing up with laughter at us.
