hi Eileen,

Thanks so much ......If yours is the same type,
it has to have water in a tray under it all the time.
Works for me........Let it be root bound.

Everyone trys to steal it .

Bugger is worth money at that size.

I sure enjoy these forums.. Very Happy

Sjoerd,

Do you mess with any tropical plants there?

Hello, Barb, nice to see you. Very Happy Your orchid is lovely. Isn't it nice to enjoy the house plants when there's nothing outside?

I had a pretty one in that family and I set it on top of the refrigerator for a couple days and all of the flowers fell off and has done nothing since. I will never put real flowers on top of there again....

Maybe the heat from the refrig. did it .
Our type of orchid like it a little on the cold side. That I read is what makes it bloom.

I have mine in the north window without sun.. On the window sill all the time. It works.. Oh keep water in a tray under it all the time..

Good luck .

Chances are the plant didn't get enough sunlight. Placing it on a refrigerator shouldn't make a difference, it's the new location that will make the difference

What a beautiful Orchid! I am so glad to see there are some people here that grow Orchids. I have been reading some of the helpful tips and it is nice to know I have a place I can ask for help if I start having trouble.

bsewnsew,
That is a great photo of your Phalaenopsis. I was wondering if you could give me permission to post the photo on my website.
Thanks
