I planted some lettuce and spinach in a tub on the front porch on Feb. 5th and it's come up already.
I hope it grows as fast.

I'm turning green as it's waaay to cold to plant anything here at the moment. Those little lettuces obviously wanted to grow for you Dooley 'cause they did it in double quick time!!

How fab - make the sowing fingers get itchy! I have a packed of mixed salad leaves and keep thinking about getting a lovely big pot and sowing a pinch and keeping it in the conservatory. Now I have seen yours, I am even more tempted!

This morning I noticed the spinach is coming up, too. The herbs are not up though dr says he can see them. I looked again. I don't know what he is seeing but I couldn't see them. I watered them and put them in the sunshine today. dooley

I'm green with envy, the snow hasn't melted from our last little blast. Keep us posted on their progress.

Your lettuce looks great! I had about 20 pop up about 2 inches high, sadly something ate all the leaves and left only the stems to almost all of them.
