There was only one yard sale listed for today so we got up early and got there just as it was opening. The woman told us it was from an estate of a woman here in Madisonville. There was a ton of quilts, quilting materials and bedspreads, bed linens and pillows. The lady must have made a pillow with every quilt pattern she could find. I didn't buy pillows today but I could use the idea. I did buy a green and white (dr says it's blue or gray) quilt top all pieced by hand. It needs a few repairs and then I can put it together and quilt it. A few of the seams have pulled loose. I bought a stack of quilt blocks with butterflies that are not finished. The butterflies seem to be basted onto the blocks and a few are finished but not many. It appears to be old and really needs to be finished. I bought a stack of material for very little. The pieces are big enough to use for quilt backing. I guess I could get busy and finish some quilts now. We bought some cookbooks from various organizations in different Texas towns. dr bought a Fannie Flagg cookbook from Whistlestop Cafe book and movie. He says it has a lot more than recipes. He likes the Fannie Flagg books.
We also put back a box of things to pick up next week and she says there will be some more stuff that she will save for us that are on the same order of what we bought.
On the way home we stopped at the thrift shop and bought a plain rectangle kitchen table. We didn't need a kitchen table but I needed a sturdy table to put my sewing machine on. So, we had a good day.

Glenda that is beautiful. How nice to have thoughtful friends. I wondered if you went with them, but imagine you were still snoozing when they left out Laughing Laughing
