My Grandson Christopher who is in his Senior year of High School made the finals and was at the state tournament for Power lifting last weekend. He was in the Big Boys area...he weighed in at 238 and had to eat and get up to 242 in order to lift in the 275 pound category. He had to make weight...so he had to eat and drink a few cans of soda....But he did it and he took 8 the place in State. You wouldn't believe what these guys and girls can lift. The light ones can lift in their weight category....He just started last year so this was just his second year at it. He was disappointed in himself, well, who wouldn't want 1st, 2nd or 3rd place....but 8 th place was just great...For those of you that know a little about Power Lifting:

Squat 510 pounds...

Bench 255 pounds

Dead Lift 425 pounds

For a total of 1190 pounds...

We told him we would of be proud of him even if he didn't make any place...he is such a good mannered young man.

Just wanted to brag about my oldest Grandson...Christopher...

Fantastic Christopher!! Neither wonder your gran is so proud of you - so are we. Mr. Green My youngest son, David, power lifts too so I know all the hard work and dedication that goes into it.
I can lift a 2 cwt potato sack in each hand and lift it over my head - one day I'll actually put some potatoes in them!!! Laughing Laughing

Wow
That is amazing - fantastic achievement.
I always watch the power lifters on telly and admire them. Now I can also brag and say that I actually know about a stewbie grandson who does it too.
It is really somethign to be proud of - especially if you are a granny. Congrats Sherry. Wink
