|
Our origional eagles nest is thought to contain only infertile eggs so now we have a new nest site to view. It can be reached through the exactly the same link as the first one. I've just seen an adult fly past the nest and the youngsters moving around and yawning.

2.40pm - the adult (female)is on the nest feeding the 2 fledglings!!!

Look at the little eaglets, all grey and new I wouldn't want to disturb Mama right now!
Thanks for the update Eileen.

3.10pm today. Eaglets being fed. It looks as though they get fed at roughly the same time each day anywhere from 2.30 -3.30pm GMT.

One of the parents brought in another feed just after 4pm. Both chicks seem well fed and the smallest one can certainly stand up for itself!! Let's hope they both survive to maturity as I'm getting quite fond of them.
Should we give them names?
What are your suggestions?
How about: Bubble and Squeak for starters?

I think Bert and Ernie would suit them

Will we do a poll when we have enough suggestions and then vote to see which names win?

Sounds like an idea to me Eileen!
Let's name the new eaglets:
So far we have:
- Bubble and Squeak (Eileen)
- Bert and Ernie (Frank)

Has anyone seen any signs of the second eaglet today? I can only see one. I hope nothing has happened to the other one.

IL just looked and didn't see anything. I think that nest is way big and they moved out of sight. I hope. Dooley

Both eaglets are now showing off their rapidly changing plumage. Soon they'll begin to look more like their folks instead of balls of grey fluff. The parent birds are starting to bring live prey to the nest for their offspring to tackle.
