For what its worth,,,being generaly lazy! I usually make corn bread in an iron skillet that I put in the oven at 400 degrees F. for at least an hr before putting the batter in. (It really gives a great crispy crust on the bottom).

DH likes it without sugar, I like either way, but with lots of butter, I limit myself to one piece.

Thanks for the recipe.We do love cornbread!!!Now when Glendann and i make her famous chicken and dumplings and she is out of cornbread mix we can turn to your recipe.Thanks!!!
