hey folks, well this is my first plant i.d i need help on.
i really like this plant it has a nice surprise to it in ways..

the leaves are cool shaped and the colours are neat too..

later on in the season theres this rod that comes up and has like a berry looking cluster on top of it. Kinda hard to explain..

( photo / image / picture from Green_Numb's Garden )

i put a lil hardwood mulch around it but need to get more to put all around that area..

Arum pictum or Arum italicum. Variegated Lords and Ladies. The berries are poisonous by the way and if happy the plant will spread. Seeds produce non variegated ones too.

thanks for the help Palustris!

i did some researching based on your words and discovered it to be an Arum italicum. The pictum has the purple flower it seems...

read some reviews and some people hate this in certain climates because it spreads but mine has never spread and is a single specimen. They say the variegated specimens are a lot smaller than just the plain green ones.
