I have recently read "The Brothers Lionheart" (Bröderna Lejonhjärta) as part of a Swedish assignment, it was a very different children's book that adults can also find very enjoyable and thought-provoking. Has anyone else read it?

You got up my curiosity as I've never heard of this author so I checked out the reviews on Amazon.com. Looks like a great book that would be a good addition to our library's collection (although it may not be easy to find for purchase). There aren't too many books out there that deal with a dying child. I see there's one copy in our library system so I'll be sure to put it on my list of must reads! Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Gosh, that takes me back. It must be 30 years or more since I read that. It was also made into a TV series if my aging memory serves me correctly.

Yes, I read that the TV series was an extended version of the movie made in 1977. Worth renting the movie if you can find it!

I've read that story several times, and my two oldest have read it too. We've seen the TV series, it's a bit scary, and a little like the Narnia chronicles.
