This is about the third time I had him visiting my hummingbird feeder...I was glad to have my camera in hand to catch him at it...

I was taking pictures of my birds in the pergola area and up flew this guy...I was glad to finally capture him. He came a few times last year too...I suppose he wanted to visit before the hummingbirds and Orioles get here and drink it all....Sherry

He is so cute. He got the hang of it, so he may be back. Love your photos, Sherry.

Wow Sherry, I've never had one go to my sugar feeders. They must be hungry as there aren't many bugs out yet!

I've never tried our woodpeckers with any sweet as they seem to love the fat cakes I put out for them. I'm glad you managed to get such great shots of your visitor Sherry as he's a handsome little fellow.

kaseylib...I have seen flys, bees, asian beetles here already. Not much for the bees because some daffodils are just starting to open...but it won't take long with a warm-up ...

What a remarkable foto, Sherry. I had no idea that Downey's liked sweet water. I am just amazed.

I just walked to the window and the woodpecker was enjoying the nectar again...I think I have him hooked. Didn't have a chance to get the camera.
