I had the camera out today so I took a couple pictures of the circle garden. Yesterday, I planted about 40 red petunias around the edge. Then I raked the middle and sprinkled my mixed seeds and raked it lightly again. I gave it a good amount of water even though it had just had rain. The surface was still some dry. Here's hoping some of the seeds come up. Remind me to keep it watered.
I took some pictures of the morning glories from the long flower bed by the porch. This is only one half.
I think I planted them 6 to 8 weeks ago. Okay, it was on March 6th.
The morning glories have been blooming but the flowers seem to be inside. We can see them when we are sitting out there.

Wow - 40 petunias! Add that to the Morning Glories
and your yard will be bursting with color.

I soaked the morning glory seeds in warm water for 48 hours before I planted them. They already had little sprouts coming out of them. They came out of the ground in another couple of days. It's been really nice except for some rain and I'm sure the rain did them a lot of good. I've only had to water them twice with a hose. the flowers around the edge of the circle garden are petunias. dooley

I love the circle of petunias.
Show us that again in another month.
My petunias were awesome last year, this year nothing.

I was just looking at that picture of the petunias and noticing the grass is growing, too. I had an awful thought. I planted those petunias about six inches inside the circle. Petunias spread out. I think that every time we mow I will have to lift the petunias and hand cut or weed eat the grass around the circle. Yikes! I hope the grass grows slowly. dooley

Those morning glories didn't take long to establish themselves did they? Your porch area is really looking good Dooley. Before long the whole fence is going to be covered in plants. 
Those red petunias look pretty in your circle bed and I'm longing to see what seeds sprout for you. Could you bear to cut another few inches around the outside of your bed so that your petunias can spread out? It may be less work that having to lift them every time you cut the grass.
Now don't forget to water those plants and seeds!! Well you did say to remind you.

Your circle of petunias are so pretty .
It will be worth the problem with the grass.Your morning glories are going to be so pretty when all is in bloom as I love the vines now.

When I saw this heading, I was excited to see your progress! I like the red petunias. Can't wait to see how it grows. Maybe you can encourage the petunias to spread inward moreso than outward. Your morning glories are pretty. I have some seeds to plant this weekend, I'm going to try soaking them.

i like the thing in the middle, if it was mine i'd get some kind of flowering vine to climb up it..
