Nice photographs. I especially like the second one where your cat is resting its chin on the flower pot. Maybe he/she is a budding gardener and is waiting for the plant grow.

What little sweeties they are, I adore the pic with the one looking at the plant pot wonder if he is thinking 'yummy' or 'please grow' theyre all too lovely.

Here are my spoiled four legged family members:
Last Sunday, Missy (age 13) spent the whole day outside with me. Look at her dirty face and paws!!!
This is Austin, my big boy (14 lbs)... He's 4 and not allowed outside unsupervised because he gets into too much trouble.

I love her dirty face too. She had a BALL all day. I had a tortie and a couple calicos over the years.
I always think of calico kitties as more patchy with blocks of colors, and torties as more like "tweed" blended together more. But my vet said calico really refers to having 3 colors, and torties are in that category too. What do you think, Stratsmom?

I have a big calico too, riragirl. She is three colored. I've never seen one like yours. She's so pretty.

Thanks for all the great comments ya'll. Lia is the grey one, and I got her from a girl I worked with. And Sheira is the speckled one. I got her from a horse farm, she is so sweet. Daisybeans, your cats are so adorable.

As are Lia and Sheira! Missy and Austin say thanks for the compliment.
Calomaar, I am so glad you posted Deputy's photos. In another post you mentioned him and I wanted to see him. It made me tear up seeing him and thinking how much you miss him. I hope another puppy friend comes your way -- maybe Deputy will help send one along! He's a beautiful handsome boy.

My rescued babies: Ciara and Kota and good old Buddy
Ciara and Dakota ( photo / image / picture from Jewell2009's Garden )
Dakota ate a whole basket of vegetables Friday. I'd picked 3 large tomatoes, some cherry tomatoes, 6 small crook-neck squash, a good pound of green beans and half as much of sugar snap peas. She cleaned the basket out except for 2 peas and a cherry tomato. Darn! We were going to grill them and have them this week-end. I'm glad the garden is fenced.
Ciara would never eat anything she wasn't invited to eat (but she'll try to sneak into bed and under the covers).
Buddy ( photo / image / picture from Jewell2009's Garden )
Buddy doesn't like vegetables. He came from the local shelter also as an adult 7 years ago.
