|
I bought a pot of Gerber daisies today. It looks droppy and sad - thought it would do well with some TLC. Are these annuals or perennials? I have some Shasta daisy which comes back year after year. Will these do the same?

This is some info I found searching for gerber daisy:
Planting Zones for Gerbera Daisy Flowers:
Gerbera daisy flowers are grown as perennials in zones 9-11. Elsewhere, they are treated as annual plants. In zone 8 some homeowners report success in growing gerbera daisy flowers as perennials, especially if garden mulch is used.
I had one last year (orange) but it didn't last, I'm in zone 4. Hope this helps some.

I think I am taking it back then. The plant itself is not in very good state - I bought it thinking it would come back. I am in zone 7.

I'm in zone 7-8 and my container gerbers come back every spring. They are up against the house during the winter which keeps them pretty warm.
