It's been raining all week but today there were two yard sales that said "rain or shine." So, of course, we went and we bought some stuff. dr says he got a lot of stuff he can resell when he starts going to the flea market again. He's been slowly gathering stuff and storing it in the storage room. But, I looked at a box of material and I didn't buy it because I thought it was a bit out of my budget. We went to the other sale and I didn't buy anything. On the way back to town I told dr that maybe that box of material wasn't too expensive because the material I bought at the thrift store yesterday was fifty cents a roll and came to 4.50. So, we stopped back at the sale because it was on our way home. I bought the box and was sorting through it when I got home. There are 72 pieces that are a yard or more and then half a box of pieces and bits that can be pieced into quilt blocks or pillows or table runners. There are three pieces that will make great kids quilts. I found some material for Jacob's dinosaur quilt, too. It's a dark green with sort of a wrinkled pattern like elephant or rhino skin would be. It will be just perfect for the big dinosaur in the middle of the quilt. Maybe even a few little ones around the outside. Now, I need to get in gear and get my pattern drawn out and figure just what I will have on it besides a big dinosaur in the middle. It turns out to be about 30 cents per yard for the big pieces of material and there is a half of a LARGE box of the bits and pieces. I think it's a good deal but only if I get started and use it.

The material on the top of the box is the dino material. It looks lighter in it's own picture.

If I'd been with you no way would you have been taking that box of material home with you Dooley. I'd have made sure I got to it first. Wink However, I'm quite generous so I could have been persuaded to share it with you if you'd let me sit on your rocking chair for a while and pet Chance and Oreo. Mr. Green
That green material is going to be the ideal thing for making up dinosaurs with. What a terrific find!!

I have never seen anyone be so fortunate to find as many good buys as you do. Good for you! Wink
