Got the beds planted by the new retaining wall that we had put in last fall.

You can't see them but there are 2 more bleeding hearts in the lower bed. Well there is one for sure, but the other new one hasn't come up yet. The dark pink bloom in lower bed is Dianthus.
There are 4 dianthus in the lower bed. This week I am going to get black mulch for in there. That should really set off the colors in the beds and the stones.

What a difference to how that area looked like this time last year!! The black mulch will really make the colours of the dianthus and bleeding hearts stand out. I'll look forward to your next picture when the mulch is down. Stew Face 2

Very pretty Capt. And that black mulch will make it really nice looking, nothing like black to make other colors pop

What a pretty wall and beds! I like that design with a top and bottom bed. Wouldn't a little something trailing from the top to the bottom bed be pretty too!
