They are only eating pears......
I cant eat them all..LOL
I canned some and they were horrible . They been here before we came..
Old tree.
But I like pears.

They do take up lots of room.
Wish I had an apple tree like that ..

That's a beautiful tree Barb. Be glad when mine gets that large. My mom had a pear tree and always made the best pear preserves. What I would give for a jar of them now! And to talk to my mom...

Strange,
I made peach preserves yesterday .. From frozen junk off the canned ones. Not bad, not bad ..I have frozen pear junk in the freezer too , will make later.
I am a practiced freezer filler upper.. LOL

My mother made pear pies and cobblers.She also made pear butter.
It sure is pretty in bloom.

Looks lovely, Barb. We'd love a pear tree but would have to train it up against a wall due to our climate. And we have no walls to train it up against.

That is a lovely, massive pear tree. All the blooms! I shoudl be saying all the potential pears. Wow.
I did not know about pear butter?? I just have to try it out someday. Thanks for th elink Glendann
